My #1 FAQ is why are your prices greater than some other photographers in the area?

My answer to that is simply, Quality!
I am a legal operating business, which means that I have business expenses, pay taxes, pay for insurance and have put relentless hours into learning photography so that I can provide the best service possible.

I hand edit every image you receive! SO that means that with your package fee you are not just paying for a 1 hour session, you are also paying for hours and hours of behind the scenes work.

From beginning to end you are provided with a quality service. I am dedicated to making your experience with me one that you will remember forever.

What is a pre-portrait consultation?
Before your session, we’ll meet or have a phone conversation for about 30 minutes to discuss location, props, outfits, themes, styles, pricing and other creative ideas. I love to hear any specifics you desire and how we can make your creative ideas a reality. We’ll also discuss any purchases you are interested in for wall displays and gifts and any payments toward those can be made in advance at this time or at the reveal appointment.

How far in advance should I book my session?
In order to offer exceptional service to my clients, I offer a very limited number of sessions per month. I often book 1-3 months in advance, but do my best to accommodate immediate needs. Please feel free to contact me for availability.

When do I pay my session fee?
The sitting fee or retainer is due in full at the time of booking and this payment will hold your session time and date. This fee is non-refundable.

What does my sitting fee cover?
The sitting fee or retainer pays for the reservation of your session time and date, the session time, and the photographer’s creative fees and artistic talent.

Where will we meet?
There are endless beautiful places in Fayetteville and the surrounding areas. We’ll discuss the various scenery available to us a choose a location that best suits your style. Travel fees may apply.

What should we wear?
It’s important to learn how to dress for your body type and remember that everyone’s outfits do not need to be the same color. In fact, it is preferable that you choose a color family and dress everyone in tones within that family. For fall you could choose browns and oranges and for winter you could choose navy blue and red. Accessories are what truly make the outfits so get creative with scarves, boots, hats and jewelry. I have several tips and Pinterest boards to help you choose outfits for every season. I also have a style guide in the welcome packet above.

What if the weather is bad?
I’ll reschedule your session as soon as we can at no extra cost to you.

What if one of us gets sick or we have to reschedule for some reason?
Life happens and I get that. I am happy to reschedule your session one time as long as I receive a 24 hour notice. If a second reschedule is required, you will forfeit your original session fee and a new session fee will be paid for the new session date. *Inquire for details.

How can I make sure my Session goes amazingly?
First off, I recommend being realistic about your child’s temperament when choosing your timeslot. Many babies are happiest in the morning, and while 8:00 AM sounds mighty early when you have to get up and get everyone ready, it most often is the best choice for securing those happy baby photos.

Some kiddos do love to sleep in, though, so if your little one belongs to that camp of personalities (I feel them!), perhaps the later slot is a better choice instead.
As you inquire for your Session, let me know your child’s schedule so I can help decide on the best time for your needs.
I love, love, LOVE working with children in a natural sense, and to me, I’d prefer if the word “cheese” was never said.

We don’t need those stiff box studio portraits hanging on your wall, right?
For family photos, I strive to capture authentic interactions between parents and their littles.
For individual child shots, most of the time I will ask you to let me work with the child, one-on-one, to achieve a relaxed, genuinely gleeful expression.
